Kindergarten readiness pilot project bill advances 1

Rep. Kevin Jackson, R-Bowling Green, presents House Bill 695 in the House Education Committee meeting Tuesday. The legislation would establish an adaptive kindergarten readiness pilot project.

The House Education Committee approved a bipartisan bill Tuesday that seeks to improve early childhood education in the commonwealth.

House Bill 695 would establish an adaptive kindergarten readiness pilot project within the Kentucky Department of Education, Rep. Kevin Jackson, R-Bowling Green, said. He is the primary sponsor of the legislation.
