  • Judith Irene "Judy" Anthony, 68

    Judith Irene "Judy" Anthony, 68, of Hardinsburg died Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, near McQuady as the result of an automobile accident.
    She was born in Breckinridge County on June 19, 1945, the daughter of the late Sollank and Irene Stone Fentress. Judy retired from Breckinridge County Board of Education as a migrant aide, was a member of Hardinsburg Baptist Church and loved spending time with her grandchildren and traveling with her family.
    She was preceded in death by her daughter; Stacy Lynn Anthony; and her sister, Lila Gene Decker.

    Michael Wayne Smith, 66, of Leitchfield died at his residence Friday, Dec. 20.
    He retired from LAP Ford after 28 years as a Assembly Line worker. He was a member of the U.A.W.
    Michael Wayne was born Sept. 26, 1947, in Jefferson County, son of the late Ray and Ruth Lentz Smith and was married to Floretta (Flo) Flanigan Smith.

  • Charles Edward Ferry, 56

    Charles Edward Ferry, 56 of McDaniels died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2013, at his residence. He was born on June 15, 1957, in Louisville, the son of the late Marvin Woodrow and Mary Catherine Johnson Ferry. He was an employee of Walmart in Leitchfield and enjoyed watching wrestling and movies. He was an avid University of Kentucky fan.

    Survivors include two sisters, Margaret Bast of Mt. Washington and Geanie Compton of Louisville; one uncle, Joseph Barr of Hardinsburg; nieces and nephews

  • Mary S. Scott, 66

    Mary S. Scott, 66, of Big Clifty died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at her residence.

    She was born Feb. 18, 1947, in Big Clifty, the daughter of Bernard and Marie Webb Pearl.

    Survivors include her husband of 45 years, William J. Scott of Big Clifty; four children, Billy Scott of Big Clifty, Tommy (Nikki) Scott of Flaherty, Angie (Gary) Hatcher and Chris Scott, both of Big Clifty; four grandchildren, Hailey Hatcher, Abagail Susman, Sierra Hatcher and Lila Scott; and four brothers, Gary (Lois), Larry, Jeff and Lonnie Pearl, all of Louisville.

    Russell Gary Gibson, 61, of Elizabethtown died Tuesday, Dec. 17, 2013, after a brief battle with cancer.

    Cindy Hook, 52, of Clarkson died at her residence on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013.

    She was born in Grayson County, the daughter of the late Frank David and Rosemary Scott Shain. She was married to Mike Hook of Clarkson. She was a former manager at K's Café.

    Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Javonica Duvall and Jessica Dawson; a step son Michael Bradley Hook; two step daughters Patricia Gail Gilley and Falon Nichole Hook; three grandchildren; seven step-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Fouts and Debbie Metz.

    Lucy M. Isaacs, 93, of Louisville died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Christian Health Center in Louisville.

    She was born Feb. 12, 1920, in Edmonson County, the daughter of the late Gus and Ida Jaggers Gipson.

    She retired from Schenley Distillery after working for 26 years on the bottling floor and was a former member of Shively Eastern Star.

  • Winifred Tilford, 95

    Winifred Tilford, 95, of Falls of Rough died Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehab in Hardinsburg.

    She was born Sept. 27, 1918, in Falls of Rough, the daughter of the late Arlie C. and Della Mudd Eskridge.

    She was retired from Pillsbury/Ballard in New Albany, Ind., who enjoyed her pet cats, and was a lifelong member of Lone Star Church of Christ.
