Is your name written in Heaven?

-A A +A
By Michael Hardin

In ancient times the names of the citizens of a city or state as well as those of soldiers of an army usually were written in a book or register.  This roll was carefully kept, and if anyone became unworthy, forfeited the favor of his superiors, or was killed in action, his name was removed from the register.
The practice of enrolling and removing was employed in a  figurative sense in connection with the Lord’s people. This figurative record was referred to     as the “Book of Life.”
