Lush, Jarboe crowned homecoming royalty

By The Staff

Cheers erupted in the Cougar Den Feb. 1 when a Grayson County High School junior was named the 2019 basketball Homecoming Queen.
Emily Lush is getting a little extra attention for capturing the sparkling crown.
She has Down syndrome, but that doesn’t preclude her from being a positive force at GCHS. In addition to being known for her sunny disposition, she’s part of a student group that makes sure recyclables at the high school are collected and sorted each week.
She also work’s part-time at Farmer’s Feed Mill restaurant in Leitchfield.
