Promised park could offer nut trees for future generations

Judge Kenneth H. Goff approached Leitchfield City Council about building a park that was promised 20 years ago. When the city purchased land on Brandenburg Road for industry such as Trim Masters Inc., the city made allowances in the land purchase for a park.
The idea behind the park Goff said in a telephone interview, was for employees of manufacturing companies to have a place to eat lunch.

The park has yet to materialize and Goff was holding the council responsible for the promise.
He also presented an idea about planting nut trees in the park.
