    Anna Lou Durbin Brown, 80, of Leitchfield died Friday, May 11, 2012, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

    She was born June 30, 1931, in Leitchfield, the daughter of the late Frank and Connie Decker Durbin. She had been employed in the optical care industry.

  • Mary C. Sexton, 71

    Mary C. Sexton, 71, of Clarkson died Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

    She was born June 27, 1940. She was a housewife.

    Survivors include her son, Marvin Ramsey; two daughters, Deborah Hagen and Kelly McDermitt, both of Indiana; her husband, John Sexton of Clarkson; two stepsons, John Sexton Jr., and Charles Sexton; two stepdaughters, Renee Minsterketter and Mary Yates; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Minor and Mary Edith Richmond Hanks.

    Wyvonne Kessinger Ingram Kettlehake, 68, of Newnan, Ga., died Thursday, May 10, 2012.

  • Richard Hack, 70

    Richard Hack, 70, of Caneyville died Saturday, May 12, 2012, at his home in Caneyville.

    He was born Oct. 14, 1941, in Grayson County, the son of Roy and Gertrude Mudd Hack. He was a mechanic at Ohio Valley Reload Company in Millwood and a member of Wilson United Baptist Church.

  • Faye Wright, 78

    Faye Wright, 78, of Leitchfield died Sunday, May 6, 2012.

    She was born Feb. 8, 1934, in Indiana, and married J. Lenn Wright on June 25, 1955. She also enjoyed entertaining, gardening, antiquing, and cooking, and playing dominos and card games with family and friends.

    She was a homemaker for her family. She also worked for First National Bank in Fort Wayne, Indiana for nine years before retiring. She and Mr. Wright moved to Leitchfield in 1994 and became an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Altar Society in Leitchfield.

  • Galis Ruthford Skaggs, 87

    Galis Ruthford Skaggs, 87, of Millwood died Wednesday, May 9, 2012, at the his home.

    He was born Jan. 27, 1925, in Edmonson County, the son of the late Jesse and Lureiria Scott Skaggs. He was a retired welder from James Cash Manufacturing and City of Leitchfield.

  • Jessie M. Goff, 82

    Jessie M. Goff, 82, of Caneyville died Monday, May 7, 2012, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

    She was born May 12, 1929, in Butler County, the daughter of the late Ollie and Iva Sermon Goff. She was a farmer. She was a member of Cave Hill Church on Ky. 79.

    She is survived by her cousins, George and Barbara Tomlinson of Horse Branch and Louise and Bill Tice of California.

    In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Joy Goff.

  • Wavely Carby, 84

    Wavely Carby, 84, of Clarkson died Sunday, May 6, 2012, of Kindred Hospital in Louisville.

    He was born Sept. 15, 1927. He was a retired union laborer, a farmer and member of Pleasant Valley Missionary Baptist Church.

    Survivors include his wife, Leona Carby of Clarkson; two sons, Gordon Lee Carby of Louisville and Pat (Regina) Carby of Leitchfield; two daughters, Arlene (Jeff) Bell of Clarkson and Janese (Don) Cleary of Clarksville; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eva Haycraft of Clarkson.

  • Nellie Puryear Campbell, 78

    Nellie Puryear Campbell, 78, died Saturday, May 5, 2012, at Springview Health & Rehab in Leitchfield, after a four-year battle with Alzheimer’s.

    Nellie was born Dec. 22, 1933 in Finley. Formerly living in Danville, she was a retired LPN, a member of First Baptist Church and the Daughters of the American Revolution.

    Mrs. Campbell was preceeded in death by her husband, Jack Campbell; her parents, Otis and Francis Puryear; and two brothers, Delmer and Bobby Puryear.

  • Vesta Fay Durbin, 69

    A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 12 at Clarkson United Methodist Church for Vesta Fay Durbin, 69, who died in Las Cruces, New Mexico in December 2011.

    She was formerly of Leitchfield, the daughter of Lawrence Emmett Gray and Pansy B. Clark.

    Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Aubrey Durbin of Millwood; a son, Jeff Durbin of Washington D.C.; a grandson, Chayse of Washington; and a sister, Marie Harper of Calvert City.

    She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Durbin of Washington.
