  • Forgiveness is not an option

Forgiveness is not an option it is a requirement for a healthy marriage. I mean get real. Do you really think that withholding forgiveness from your spouse is going to help your relationship? That sounds as if you do not believe you have ever done anything which requires your spouse to forgive you.

  • Remember and be thankful

The Psalmist said, “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord!”
We need to look for things to be thankful for. A thankful spirit should be the foundation of our lives.

  • The importance of forgiveness

Forgiveness is a concept that is ancient but greatly misunderstood. It would be hard to escape this necessary ingredient if a couple is to be successful in marriage after about the first month of marriage. Two humans living in close proximity to each other being “fallen in the nature” and therefore self-focused invariably will create a climate where forgiveness is an absolute necessity.

  • The key to success is: work at it

What is in the well will eventually be drawn up in the bucket. This practical reminder instructs each individual in the marriage to invest in their own future by putting things in the well of their marriage which they may hope to pull out at a later time. Taking the time and providing the energy to give and invest in meeting the needs of your spouse will pay off at a later time.
