William Murrel ‘Bill’ Bratcher, 79

William Murrel “Bill” Bratcher, 79, of Hartford died Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at his home.

He was born in Leitchfield, to the late Guy and Daisy Alice Green Bratcher.  He was a medical technologist, served in the U.S. Air Force, was an avid U of K fan, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of New Baymus Church of Christ. 

Survivors include two sons, David Lane (Shannon) Bratcher and William Douglas Bratcher; a daughter, Mary Jill (Keith) Weinberg; his friend, Janet Magan; three grandchildren, Lane Fox Bratcher, Evan Reed Bratcher and Savanah Nicole Weinberg; two nieces, Carol Lee(Patrick) Heffley and Martha Elaine (Fred) Faulkner; and a nephew, Kenny(Sandy) Bratcher.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sylvia Bratcher.

The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bevil Bros. Funeral Home in Beaver Dam with Dewayne Johnson officiating.  Burial and graveside service

will be in Fairview Cemetery in Leitchfield. 

Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service at the funeral home.
