Update: Murder charge filed in death of Clarkson resident

An Elizabethtown man was charged Saturday with murder of a 20-year-old man.

Jamie B. Wagers, 24, was arrested by Kentucky State Police after they received a call at about 2:30 p.m. Saturday of an incident at 130 Magers Drive.

Christian Fernando Higdon, 20, of Clarkson, was pronounced dead by the Hardin County Coroner’s Office, Deputy Coroner Kenneth Spangenberger said. He died of blunt force trauma to the head. Police said Sunday that a hatchet was used in the fatal attack.
