Leitchfield City Council has taken a bold step toward bringing jobs to the city, county and those surrounding this area. Since the closing of Bosch Tools, the former Vermont American, in 2004 Leitchfield and Grayson County residents have been crying for jobs.
Before the Bosch closing, the county’s highest unemployed hit in November 2002 with 955 people not working and 10,662 working. By November 2005, 900 people were not working and 10,625 were working, according to statistics from WorkForce Kentucky.
