Nathan Junior “Pop” Decker, 82 of Leitchfield died Tuesday, Feb, 21, 2012, at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 5, 1929, in Grayson County, the son of George Washington and Mary Liza Decker.
He is survived by his wife, Delois Decker of Leitchfield; a daughter, Ina (Everett) Decker of Anneta; a son, Stanley Decker of Anneta; two sisters, Norma Jean Bates of Salem, Ind., and Sylvia Decker of Austin, Ind.; a brother, Carl Decker of Louisville; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Georgie Decker; a daughter, Mary Jane Hampton; a son, Artha Decker, four brothers, Charles, Robert, Guy, and James Thomas Decker; and a sister, Patricia McKinley.
The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at Watson & Hunt Funeral Chapel in Leitchfield with Bro. Clinton Decker officiating. Burial will be in McGrew Cemetery.
Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until service time Friday at the funeral home.
