Joann Woosley Smith, 61, of Big Reedy died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012 at her home.
The Edmonson County native was a housewife, caretaker, a quality control inspector for Brownsville Manufacturing Compnay, a volunteer for Edmonson County High School FMD Class, an avid quilter and a member of Sew Crazy Ladies. She was the daughter of the late McKelvy Woosley and Frieda Childress Woosley.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Smith; a daughter, Leslie (Robert) Cena of Brownsville; a son, Steven (Heather) Smith of Leitchfield; three sisters, Joretta (Charles) Alexander and Jolene (Bill) Beville, both of Big Reedy, and Jowanna (Rick) Aldridge of Bowling Green; and four grandchildren, Jacob Cena, Emma Grace Cena, Eli Smith and Hannah Smith.
The funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church where she was a member. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4-9 p.m. Monday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home.
