Hardin: What hope does a Christian have after this life?

-A A +A

Hope is one of the most powerful factors in human endeavor. Farmers plow the soil and sow seeds in hope of a good harvest. Merchants stock their shelves in the hope of sales. Prisoners employ attorneys to defend them in court in the hope of freedom or a light sentence. The Christian’s hope is that city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. Our hope is laid up in heaven. This hope is an anchor of souls, it stabilizes our lives, gives us security the world does not and cannot know. Hope provides incentive for both zeal and steadfastness in righteous living.
