County roads to get funding boost

-A A +A
By Rebecca Morris

Thanks to some cost cutting, careful spending and funds transfers, Grayson County’s highway department will be getting a financial shot in the arm.
During the March 20 Fiscal Court meeting, County Judge Executive asked for, and received, approval from magistrates to transfer $200,000 from the county’s general fund to the road fund.
Henderson noted the general fund had about $350,000 available, and that while there still was money available in the road fund  he expected expenses to start mounting.
