A program designed to help area families will get a little help itself from the city of Leitchfield.
During its Jan. 23 meeting, city council approved a request from Beverly Embry, supervisor of Grayson County Health Department’s Health Access Nurturing Development Services program, to help the program have a gathering at James D. Beville Park for the families it serves.
Embry asked that the $75 rental fee for the park pavilion be waived so the HANDS families can use it the morning of May 17.
