Birds come into season on Nov. 24

While turkey is in the oven this week, doves and snipe on in the crosshairs.
Hunting season for doves and common snipe start for the second time this year on Nov. 24 and continue until Dec. 2 for doves; Jan. 29 for snipe.
Dove hunters can get a limit of 15 birds a day with a possession limit of 30 birds.
Snipe hunters can collect eight birds with a possession limit of 16.
Shooting hours are between a half-hour before sunrise and sunset each day on private and public land.
