Arndell awarded American Legion oratory scholarship at district, continues to area contest

Madison Arndell, a student at GCHS, won the Fourth District High School Oratorical Scholarship contest. Arndell will continue to the Area B contest Feb. 12 at Lawrenceburg. She received a $200 cash scholarship and a bronze medal at the district contest, with the possibility of receiving up to an additional $2,000 at the Area contest. Contestants who compete to the national level can earn up to $18,000 in oratory contests.
