Leadership Grayson County Alumni recently gathered at The Centre on Main for a reunion and to put their skills and ideas into action. The business people, educators, health care professionals and citizens spent the evening brainstorming ideas for our community and coming up with some “wish lists.”
Working in small groups everyone had an opportunity to voice their ideas, which were “voted on” at the end of the session. Areas explored and discussed were based on the recently adopted Chamber Pillars and focus on Quality of Place, Leadership, Economic Development and Business Retention, Education and Human Resource Development and Quality of Life. Sessions will be held in upcoming months to refine the top ideas – those that came up repeatedly -- and put them into action.
The group will reconvene at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7 at The Centre on Main. All Leadership Grayson County Alumni are encouraged to attend. Call 259-5587 for information and to RSVP.᳠
