I wish to respectfully send this letter to the Shrewsbury Amish Community and Mr. Mose Gingench. On Dec. 8 at 6:30 a.m., I was traveling on Ky 187 to go to church in Leitchfield. I was driving between 45 and 50 miles per hour when I suddenly came upon a black buggy. It had two lanterns with a red glow on the left side and reflecting tape on the back. I did not see the buggy until I was close to it. I was able to brake down with great difficulty and not hit it. I passed that buggy and just around the next curve, I came upon another buggy. I was so scared and upset that I might have hurt one of you folks. I also followed a school bus that morning that had a flashing light mounted on the top of it and was able to easily brake down for it.
Would it be against your belief to mount these flashing lights for safety on top of the buggy so they can be seen from a reasonable distance?
Just a very concerned driver, Julie Raymer, Brownsville
