Alfred Lindsey, 93, of Big Reedy died at noon Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at Hendersonville Medical Center in Tennessee.
The Edmonson County native was a farmer and owner of Dr. C. Huff Company. He was the son of the late William Pearlie Lindsey and Emma Bolton Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife, Anita Huff Lindsey; two sons, Royce (Janice) Lindsey of Georgetown, Texas and Bruce (Sandra) Lindsey of Big Reedy; a daughter, Evelyn Raymer of Big Reedy; two brothers, Tuck Lindsey of North Carolina and Donald Lindsey of Roundhill; two sisters, Vida Tomes and Jeanette Harvison, both of Louisville; eight grandchildren, Brian Lindsey, Chris Raymer, Brett Lindsey, Julie Brown, Kim Whittinghill, Erin Blanton, Denise Stice and Matthew Lindsey; 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11 at Big Reedy Church of Christ, where he was a member and served as an elder. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday at Gravil Funeral Home.
